Dear Cameron Sterling,

America is not yet done failing you.  We will talk about your father’s death, often without regard for his humanity.  We will use him to justify our agendas, some of us will profit off of him and above all, we will not seek change to prevent it from happening again.  Our hashtags will not comfort or ease your trauma.  Our empty moment of silence will be your lifetime of figuring out how to deal with the manner in which your Dad was taken from you, and the callous aftermath will bring you no justice, let alone peace.
I hope from the bottom of my very soul that this does not break you.  I hope that you can be strong for your mother, because she needs you.  I hope you can grow up as an example to all young men, showing them how to heal.  As you do so, you’ll see that you aren’t alone. Many of us share your pain.  Many of us love you, even though we do not know you.  You know what kind of man your father was, and what kind of man he wanted you to be.

At the beginning of Good Egg Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy, Mario can approach a house, where standing in front of the door makes a “Read” icon appear. Pressing A, Mario will then read a message the owner left on the door. However, what is really happening is that the developers took a shortcut: instead of programming a readable door object, they hid a signpost, the default readable object, inside the house. Mario is interacting with the signpost through the door, making it appear as though he was reading the door.
